Rondo Award Honors Two Tabloid Witch Folk

In 2009, filmmaker Raymond Castile won two Tabloid Witch Awards (Best Comedic Horror Short Film and Best Actor) for The Blind Date of Coffin Joe.

Now, his 2010 film, The Devil at Lost Creek has been nominated for a Rondo Award, in category 9 (Best Short Film).



Additionally, Tabloid Witch Award founder Thomas M. Sipos's book, Horror Film Aesthetics, has been nominated for a Rondo Award, in Category 10 (Book of the Year).

Anyone can vote online, in any of the award categories, by going to the Rondo Award site.

As of February 17, 2011, the 2011 Tabloid Witch Awards has received 26 horror film entries: 24 shorts and 2 features. Entries have come from Hungary, Canada, Ireland, Norway, Australia, and the United States.

The Tabloid Witch Awards is a No Entry Fee horror film contest and festival. To enter the 2011 awards, your DVD must be in our in-box by August 31, 2011.

Note that we've set the 2011 entry deadline a month earlier that in previous years; the end of August instead of the end of September.
