Tabloid Witch Book Nominated for a Rondo Award

A book about awards may now win an award!

Tabloid Witch Awards founder Thomas M. Sipos's newest book, Horror Film Festivals and Awards, has been nominated for the 2012 Rondo Hatton Horror Classic Awards. The nomination is for their "Book of the Year" category.

Horror Film Festivals and Awards is a behind-the-scenes look at horror film festivals and the festival directors who manage them. Some two dozen horror film festival directors offer tips on how to do well at their events.

Naturally, a good portion of the book also relates the history of the Tabloid Witch Awards. So if you've ever wondered about the Tabloid Witch, this is the book for you. For that matter, if you've ever wondered about some of the other horror film festivals out there, this may also be the book for you.

Horror Film Festivals and Awards also includes a directory of over 200 horror film festivals, and a list of festival award winners from dozens of festivals over several decades.

The book is published by McFarland & Co, a leading supplier for the library and university market.

The Rondos are a fan award. Anyone can vote for the winners online.

Sipos's previous book, Horror Film Aesthetics, was nominated for a Rondo last year. It didn't win, but as they say about every award, "It's just an honor to be nominated!"
